This Himalayan excursion takes place in the Sindhupalchok district. It offers stunning views of snowy mountains such as Dorje Lakpa, Phurbi Chyachu and many other nearby Himalayan peaks.

The Jugal Himal Base Camp trek is unique because of its calm and untouched environment. It takes you through remote routes with fewer trekkers. In addition, you will pass through traditional Tamang and Sherpa villages and tranquil forests along the way which makes your journey truly intriguing.

The key attraction of this trekking route in Nepal is reaching the Jugal Himal Base Camp. It is situated at an altitude of 4,700 m. From the base camp, enchanting glaciers and Himalayan peaks are clearly visible.

Best Season for Jugal Himal Base Camp

Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best times for the Jugal Himal Base Camp Trek. The days in spring are warm and sunny with comfortable temperatures. Nights in higher sections can be chilly. However, they are manageable with a good sleeping bag.

The real magic of spring is that the whole trail gets decorated with rhododendrons and colorful wildflowers. Also, the long daylight hour means you can explore scenic areas at your own relaxed pace while admiring spring’s refreshing atmosphere.

Autumn stands out as another ideal time for Jugal Himal Base Camp trek. The autumn air is crisp and dry. In addition, this season offers great visibility which lets you see incredible mountain vistas even from a distance.

In both of these seasons, the weather stays stable and pathways are well defined. So, you can traverse smoothly and complete the trek as planned. Because of fewer clouds in the skies, you can see snow capped peaks without any obstruction.
