Day 1

Day1: Fly to Lukla From Kathmandu and Trek to Phakding

Kathmandu Elevation: 1,400 meters/4,594 feet

Phakding Elevation: 2,610 meters/8,563 feet

Our 5-day Everest trek begins with a short, thrilling flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. As the plane takes off, you can see the expansive view of the city, followed by the captivating hills, rivers, valleys, and eventually mountains, before landing at the small Lukla Airport.

At Lukla, we will have lunch and begin trekking towards Phakding village. Enroute, you will pass through several Sherpa villages, traverse thick forests, and cross suspension bridges. After walking for around 3-4 hours and covering approximately 9 kilometers, you will reach Phakding near the Dudh Koshi River.

Day 2

Trek From Phakding to Namche Bazaar

Today, we will embark on a scenic trek from the tranquil Phakding village to the bustling Namache Bazaar. Initially, you will walk alongside the Dudh Koshi Riverbed, then you will traverse numerous suspension bridges and pass through villages like Cheplung, Monjo, Jorsalle, etc. You will also trek accross the Sagarmatha National Park region with enriched insights into the diverse regional flora and fauna.

After a few hours, you will climb Namche Hill to descend down to Namche Bazaar. Namche is a vibrant Sherpa town with mind-blowing vistas of the surrounding snow-covered mountains.

Day 3

Namche Bazaar - Hotel Everest View Hotel

Today, we will explore the bustling Namche Bazaar by strolling around the village and visiting the nearby famous places.

We will visit the Sherpa Museum, which manifests the rich Sherpa culture, mountaineering history and stories of bravery. You will have deep insights and understanding of the art, architecture, and ancient heritages of the Everest Himalayan region.

You can also hike to several other places, such as Everest View Hotel, Khunde Hospital, and Sagarmatha National Park Museum, for panoramic Himalayan views and knowledge of local nature and culture. Over night Everest View Hotel

Day 4

Descend From Everest View Hotel to Lukla

Early in the morning, simply open your curtains and enjoy a breathtaking sunrise view of Mount Everest. Savor a warm breakfast while taking in the panoramic Himalayan scenery.

After breakfast, we begin our descent from Hotel Everest View (3,880 meters), heading down toward Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters). From there, we continue descending along scenic trails through forests and Sherpa villages, retracing our steps to Phakding.

After reaching Phakding, the trail gradually ascends as we cross several suspension bridges and pass through traditional settlements. Near the final stretch, a steep climb from Thado Koshi brings us back to Lukla (2,860 meters).

Day 5

Back to Kathamndu by Flight

After waking up early in Lukla, we will have a delicious breakfast at the teahouse and then set out for Lukla Airport for a return flight to the capital city. Leaving the Himalayan region behind, a 35-40 minute short and exciting flight from Lukla will land you at the Kathmandu airport.

Your arrival in Kathmandu marks the completion of our adventurous journey of the short Everest View Trek. After we comfortably transfer you to your respective hotel, you can enjoy the rest of the time in the capital.
