The spring season gets a long daylight hour and offers a refreshing environment perfect for traversing and sightseeing. Likewise, during autumn, the air is crisp and dust-free and the clarity of the surroundings is exceptional and offers unobstructed views of the mountain panoramas.

During autumn and spring there are minimum to low chances of journey disruption because of weather related challenges such as high winds, heavy rain or snow showers. This helps trekkers to navigate smoothly in the rugged Himalayan terrains while immersing in its ethereal beauty.

Summer/ Monsoon (June to August) and Winter (December to February)

In the monsoon/ summer season, the heavy downpours and clouds in the sky can affect visibility, making navigation more challenging. In addition, the trails can be muddy and slippery, increasing the chances of falls. Likewise, the leeches are found in the forested section, which is very unpleasant. At the same time, views on clear days are exceptional.

The landscapes are lush and mountains look beautiful in the morning after the rainfall in the afternoon. However, the weather is quite unpredictable at this time. So, adequate preparation and proper guidance are needed to make it to Tsergo Ri.

In winter climbing Tsergo Ri can be challenging because of the cold weather and snowy and icy conditions. Heavy snowfall may lead to blockage of routes disrupting your travel plan. Navigating through snowy terrains requires good balance to complete the trek smoothly during winter. Proper guidance from experts and preparation for the journey by packing all the required gear is essential for the Tserko Hike’s smooth completion this season.
