Everest Base camp Trek – perfect trip with Amazing Guide-

We did the Everest base camp trek 14 days with Adventure Great Himalaya Trek, it was perfect trip with Amazing Guide. Babu and his company made planning our trip very easy. My questions were always answered quickly and with lots of detail. I really appreciated the communication and responsiveness. Our schedule changed a few times and Babu was very accommodating and always provided us with an up to date itinerary.

When we arrived, there was someone there to pick us up so we did not have to deal with the hassle at the Kathmandu airport. We were greeted with flowers and a beverage when we got to our hotel. Our room was ready right away so we were able to relax after a long flight.

The hotel was located in a great area. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The showers always had hot water and we had not issues with electricity or charging our devices.

After we were settled, we met our guide and he took us to acquire the things we needed for the trek. It was great to have help renting the gear we needed. Everything was clean and in good condition and it was a fair price.

The evening before our trek Babu took us to a local traditional restaurant and we had an amazing dinner.

The trek itself was perfect. I cannot possibly say enough good things about our guide Krishna. He was always encouraging when we were exhausted and always made us laugh. He was very knowledgeable about the local culture and geography. He made sure we were comfortable and had all the resources we needed to be successful. Near the end of the trip I got pretty sick and he arranged horses for us to take for the last part of the trek. I would not have made it without Krishna.

When we finished our trek, we had issues with transportation back to Kathmandu due to a government strike and road closures. Krishna and Babu worked to help us get a helicopter back to Kathmandu so our travel plans were not interrupted.

Everything was better than I could have ever expected. I felt like Babu and his company were always looking out for us to make sure we had a good time. Trekking with a local company was super important to us and I’m glad we went with them. The knowledge and resources they have are unmatched. We encountered others on our journey who were abandoned by their guides or didn’t feel like they were taken care of. Through the entire planning process and the trek I felt I could count on Babu and Krishna to be helpful, responsive and honest. If I go back to Nepal I would not hesitate to use this company again.
