Went for ABC trek during 6-16 April 17. It was fantastic! Highly recommend if you want to go for trekking in Nepal or having any kind of traveling trip in Nepal. Me and my group had received wonderful services from guide, porters and the company. Definitely choosing this company again for my next trekking trip in Nepal.

I didn’t have many days so I did the Poon Hill trekking. Six days of amazing experiences going up and down in the mountains. My guide, Binay, was a very nice person and we had a great travel together, I appreciate him a lot! I was a bit fast-walking so we did a longer tour and I was able to visit more places than expected. So the improvisation of Binay was excellent. Also the organization of the trekking was very easy with Babu, he took all my considerations into account and gave me very good advise. I really recommend Adventure Great Himalaya if you’re planning a travel in Nepal!!! I was amazed by the landscape and the people from this country!! Willing to go back soon!

”My husband and I took a trip to Nepal in April this year (2007) and were guided around half of the Annapurna Circuit (Besisahar to Jomsom) by Babu on a 13 day trip. Babu was a great guide and new the route very well so we were never worried about getting lost and when the path was not clear we were very grateful that he was there! He could also prepare us for the following day’s walk so that we knew what to expect, how long we would be walking and where the big hills were. His knowledge of the people and customs was very good and he seemed to get along very well with all the tea-house owners so they all made us feel very welcome. He also knew what to do in cases of Altitude Sickness which we both suffered from in varying degrees and kept a good eye on us to make sure that we were not doing more than we should be doing if we were ill. He had Diamox with him but luckily for us we did not have to use any of the rest of his first aid kit.

Babu made our trip interesting and much less taxing than trekking alone. We relied on him completely and spent our time enjoying the scenery and the experience. It is possible to trek independently and we did consider it, but with hindsight a guide and a porter made our trip much more enjoyable which was important for us as we only had a two week holiday so we made the most of our break.

If you are considering trekking in Nepal we would recommend Babu as a guide and hope you have an amazing holiday as we did, with memories to keep forever.”

Awesome Mind Bloggling and best experience ever

This hiking adventure has been the longest one I’ve ever went through and AGH got us the best guide that ended up as our close and great friend. The preparations were flawless, the guidance and support were beyond words. They really took all the effort and went all the way to make their clients happy and well taken care of.

This experience wouldn’t have been this incredible if not of the great determination and effort of this amazing company.

I am Vicki Cheong  from Malaysia, I was supposed to join the Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek last year Oct 2015, but unfortunately I had to cancel my trekking plan due to lower back seriously injured. By that time, I was thinking whether I still have any chances back for trekking activity. I underwent the lower back treatment more than a year, then I finally decided to go for the ABC trek.

Indeed, I was worry that I could not complete the whole trek due to my lower back condition. I was lucky and thank God that my friend recommended me to Adventure Great Himalaya. They furnished me 14 days itinerary with 1 guide and 1 porter. My guide (Santosh), and porter (Raju) were fantastic throughout the trip. They looked after me and my friend very well especially when we felt very tire during the trek, Santosh and Raju were patiently helped and comforted us along the way up to the destination. After few days, my friend had diarrhea, the guide was taking good care of her as well as helping her carry backpack and drop it at teahouse.

The porter was strong enough to transport our luggage for few hours every day and drop it off at our teahouse.

After few days, we finally arrived in ABC, the scenery was breathtaking throughout the whole trek and I was taken back at the friendliness and hospitality of the locals. We truly had fun and taken lots of gorgeous photos!

In fact, we were ahead our schedule, they arranged a day tour for us (with reasonable price), sightseeing at Kathmandu durbar square, Bhaktapur durbar square, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath stupa.

Another plus point here was they provide free pick-up as we requested. .

Last but not least, we had a wonderful and a successful trip for Annapurna Base Camp (ABC) trek with Adventure Great Himalaya Treks and Expedition.

I would say I will back again with Adventure Great Himalaya for my next EBC trek!

Having searched the internet to organize an advance booking for our holiday we came across the Great Himalayan Trekking website. I liked the look of the information and the apparent flexibility that was allowed with regard to how you wanted to plan and carry out your holiday.

All email contact in advance was responded to quickly, informative and helpful. On arrival we were met by Babu the company’s owner who showed us a warm welcome which set the scene for the entire trip.

We did the Royal Trek – we loved it and the support we received from the company was great – at no point did we have any worries or concerns and we really could not have asked for any more. Arjun our guide was a great chap and he insisted that we operate as one family for the duration of our time – this we did and it worked very well….

We also organized white water rafting, an internal flight and accommodation via the company, all of which went to plan.

All I would say is that we wished we had selected a trek that was longer and more challenging, as the Royal trek can be carried out in 2 days. We would have preferred a trek over a 5 day period that took us to a higher altitude and with closer access to the mountains. But this was our choice and no reflection upon the company. Personally speaking Poonhill trek would have been a better choice.

We hope to return to Nepal later this year to carry out the Everest base camp trek and of course will be using Adventure Great Himalayan Trekking again. We have requested Arjun be our guide.

Trip Feed Back: Royal Trekking

In April 2011, we have booked a tour package to Tibet and Nepal with Babu Karki from Adventure Great Himalaya. We have found his contact from Facebook after doing some random searching online for tour agents. It was a risk that we had to take when booking from a foreign agent from our country, Singapore. Fortunately, it turned out to be a reliable agent and the email exchanges were prompt and informative. Babu has even made phone calls from Nepal to Singapore just to clarify our enquires. Babu was patient to help us to customize an itinerary according to our needs, and he even quoted us a private tour for the overall trip at an affordable price. The cost of the tour package was way cheaper as compared to what the Singapore agents were offering.

We did an overland trip from Tibet to Nepal from 16 April to 3 May 2011. The tour service provided by our Tibetan tour guide (Kalsang) and driver (Choemphel) are greatly commendable, they are very hospitable and sincere, and provided us with more than enough information. I would recommend them to those who are intending to travel in Tibet. And also not forgetting, the porters and trekking guide, Raj, who led us during our Annapurna Poonhill Trek. He is a wonderful guy who kept motivating us to move on during the trek.

This is definitely the most enjoyable and unforgettable trip till date! Thanks to my travel companions and the good tour service that Adventure Great Himalaya has provided. I will be glad to do the Everest Base Camp and Annapurna Base Camp Trek if time allows, and will definitely look for Babu again!

“Absolutely brilliant” My wife and I went trekking in Nepal during autumn 2009 for three weeks. We are in our 50’s and neither of us had ever done anything like this before but it was something we both wanted to do. We had to decide between a local or western company for our trek. Communications prior to trip with Mr. BabuKarki (MD) was very prompt and informative. We were provided with a good English speaking guide for our ABC trek, who provide us with good advice on food on drinks intake as well organize a trek schedule that match our capabilities.

I went to Nepal in December 2008 for trekking and to experience the great hospitality of Nepalese people, colorful culture and traditions as well as experience the simple living in mountain. We did Jomsom trek in January 2014. Babu and the team of Adventure Great Himalaya organized the whole of our trip. We started with sightseeing in Kathmandu – Babu provided everything: transportation, tickets and a very sweet and knowledgeable guide Kalpana. Then, we were supposed to start our trek from Jomsom, but couldn’t fly from Pokhara due to bad weather. Babu was able to rearrange our schedule immediately so we started from the other end and went all the way up, which turned out to be just amazing! We had an excellent guide Nabin with us, who has tons of experience and a really sunny personality, always friendly and encouraging. He took great care of us, which was not an easy thing to do as in our small group of three each of us has a different speed of walking. So, he always had to be in three different places at the same time, which he managed superbly (though I still have no idea how he did it!) )))) Nabin and our porters (Radju and Prem) did a great job, catering for all our needs, taking lots of decisions on the spot when we wanted to make some changes along the way (due to weather conditions, fatigue etc etc) and there’s no way we could thank them enough! The trek itself was absolutely fantastic: mind-blowing landscapes, great teahouses, lots and lots to see and learn about! No wonder we decided to extend our program upon our return to Kathmandu, but we had different needs, and Babu managed to efficiently deal with everything: one of us went to Nagarkot by a jeep, and I (accompanied by Nabin) hiked there and to Changu Narayan temple the following day – an entirely different and truly amazing experience. I can certainly highly recommend this company to anyone!

Hi Mr. Babu and Arjun. Thanks for the great trip to Annapurna Base Camp- very well organized, with no hitches. Mr. Babu was at the airport to receive us and he was most helpful in ensuring we have a good trip. We were introduced to our guide Arjun Nepal who had worked in Malaysia before.

The trail took us through many different terrains – up and down rocky mountains, by streams of gushing waters, through farmlands and forested areas. We crossed many suspended steel bridges and scaled many hills. We had the opportunity to experience snow falls and hailstones at the Macchapuche Base Camp (3700m) and trekked in 3-4 inches of snow to Annapurna Base Camp (ABC, 4130m) the next morning. This was unexpected at this time (May 1 2012) of the year.

The trip had been made pleasant by our very helpful and able guide as well as porter (Bishnu). Arjun was most accommodating and spoke very good English and even the Malay language he picked up while working in Malaysia.

I would certainly recommend Adventure Great Himalaya Treks and Expedition. This is my second trip with the company. The last was the Everest Base Camp in 2010. They are reliable and the price is reasonable too !
