Overview

Everest Base Camp Trek is an unforgettable journey through the heart of the Himalayas, where the highest peak in the world, Mt Everest (8,848 meters), radiates its magnificence. This Himalayan exploration is a blend of both natural and cultural experiences that transforms your excursion into an odyssey of soul.

Your every step on the iconic trails of this mainstream trekking region takes you closer to the realm of legends and mystical allurements. So, if you are a Himlayan trekking enthusiast and want to immerse in the rich tapestry of culture, crisp mountain air, panoramic mountain vistas, and spiritual ambiance, this legendary trekking adventure is the ultimate definition of all those things.

If you are from Malaysia and want to take part in this remarkable journey to the foothills of the highest peak in the world, Adventure Great Himalaya offers special packages for our Malaysian clients. In over a decade of service since our establishment in 2009, we got the opportunity to assist many Malaysian trekkers with their Himalayan exploration. Thanks to the positive feedback and heartwarming reviews from our Malaysian clients, we have designed this remarkable package on the most prominent trails of the Himalayas, especially for Malaysian clients.

Your  EBC Trek  starts after a 35-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,827 meters). Following the trails alongside the Dudh Koshi River and across the Sagarmatha National Park, you will make your way to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters). Then, moving on the gradually ascending trails, you will make your way to other high-elevated highlight points of the region, like Tengboche (3,800 meters), Dingboche (4,410 meters) and Lobuche (4,920 meters).

During your trek, you will also get acclimatization days at Namche and Dingboche in order to adapt to the new altitudes before pushing all the way to the base camp. During the last part of your ascending journey, you will trek through Gorakshep (5,180 meters) to reach Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters).

After the morning hike the next day to Kalapatthar (5,545 meters) to enjoy the panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Lobuche, Taboche, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and other adjacent peaks, you will begin your descending journey.

You will retrace your steps back on the same charming trails across the Dudh Koshi River and lush rhododendron flowers to make your descent gradually across Dingboche and Namche Bazaar to finally reach Lukla. Then, wrapping up your journey at Lukla, you will fly back to Kathmandu on either the direct Lukla to Kathmandu route or via the Lukla to Manthali Airport flight and drive back to Kathmandu. The flying route will depend on the congestion and traffic conditions at the airports.

Everest Base Camp Trek Itinerary Route

Adventure Great Himalaya offers a total itinerary customization option for the Everest Base Camp Trek. You can determine the itinerary plan and route of your Himalayan excursion depending on the duration of your vacation and fitness level.

The shortest itinerary plan in this mainstream route is a 9-night and 10-day package. This is the shortest and quickest trekking prospect in this mainstream route, and you will move along the trekking trails without any acclimatization period.

If you are completely new to high-altitude trekking adventures, we don’t recommend this package. Instead, you can choose from our standard 11-night and 12-day trekking package that starts from Kathmandu. Your trekking adventure under this itinerary plan starts and ends at Lukla, and you will get acclimatization days at Namche and Dingboche, which will make the overall journey comfortable.
