Mardi Himal Trek – 4 Days  is a Short version mardi trek  and beautiful alternate trek in the famous Annapurna region of Nepal. This outstanding trek provides you with breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains. There are incredible natural diversities in the region, which makes this trek quite an adventure. The 4 Days Mardi Himal Trek  start with a drive from Pokhara to Kade and then continue our trek to  ( Forest Camp) Kokar. It takes around 7-8 hours to arrive at our destination, covering a distance of approximately 18 km. We will continue our tour to High Camp (3780 m) from Kokar, which takes about 6-7 hours, and is 13km in the distance.

On the following day, we will continue our journey to Mardi Base Camp and trek back to Middle Camp, which takes around 6-7 hours and covers 11 km. Finally, we will travel back to Siding and eventually drive back to Pokhara as our short Mardi Himal trek comes to an end.

Best Time for 4 days Mardi Himal Trek In Nepal

Mardi Himal Trek - 4 Days Itinerary

Day 1

Pokhara to Kande by drive and trek to Forest Camp Via Australian Camp ( 6 Hour, 2080m )

Destination: Forest Camp
Altitude –       2080m
Trekking Duration – 6 Hour
Distance –   9  km

Our adventure commences on the initial day of our trek, as we embark on a 40 minuts car ride from Pokhara to Kande. Throughout this journey, we will be traversing the scenic Pokhara-Baglung highway until we reach Kande, a small village settlement that serves as the official starting point of our trek.

Today’s hike is relatively effortless, with gradual inclines leading us through terraced farmlands and a magnificent Rhododendron forest. Along the way, we will encounter Australian camp, an exceptional vantage point offering awe-inspiring vistas of the majestic Annapurna mountain range. This particular portion of the trek is a haven for bird enthusiasts as it offers sightings of 488 bird species including the visually striking Himalayan Monal (Danphe), which serves as Nepal’s national bird.

Additionally, Satyr Tragopan, Blood Pheasant, Cheer Pheasant, Snow Partridge and Kalij Pheasant can be spotted here. Various types of eagles,vultures,and owls can also be observed in this region. After approximately four hours of trekking, we will finally reach Forest Camp where we will spend the night. Forest Camp provides an authentic representation of rural Nepalese life with its quaint stone houses and picturesque terraced farms.

Day 2

Forest Camp to High Camp (3580 m) 6 to 7 hours trek.

Destination:  High Camp
Altitude –       3, 580m
Trekking Duration – 6 Hour
Distance – 10 km

Today’s path is immersed in dense forests, predominantly consisting of evergreen foliage. The plant life in this area is moderate, with abundant and vibrant jungles sprawling throughout. The trail cuts through these deep woodlands, occasionally providing opportunities for short respites along the way.

As we journey towards the Low Camp, we will traverse Rhododendron and Oak forests.. The temperate vegetation characterizes this section of the trek. As you progress towards High Camp,you will catch alluring of Annapurna’s majestic massifs looming distantly on the horizon. As you make your way towards High camp, you will begin to experience the impact of high altitude. It is important to be ready for traversing several narrow ridges on your journey. Ultimately, we will reach High camp, where we will rest for the night before proceeding.

Day 3

Visit Mardi himal Base Camp (4500m) and returned Badal Danda.

Destination:  Mardi View Point ( 4200)  Mardi Base Cam (4500) – back Badal Danda
Altitude –       3, 210 m
Trekking Duration – 8 Hour
Distance – 13 km

The final segment of the Mardi Himal trek begins bright and early with an awakening call. Our journey to the Mardi Himal Base Camp commences in the early hours, allowing us to witness the awe-inspiring sunrise. The climb up to the viewpoint lasts roughly 2 hours and presents its fair share of challenges.

The trail is comprised of rocky terrain that can be slippery, requiring careful navigation along narrow paths lining rugged ridges on the mountain. As you surpass an elevation of 4000 meters, you will undoubtedly notice a significant change in altitude. Nonetheless, upon reaching the base camp, a heavenly atmosphere awaits as your reward.

The base camp treats you to a captivating panorama showcasing Annapurna’s majestic peaks. Many regard this location as providing one of their most unforgettable views during sunrise. After spending some time at the base camp, we make our descent towards Badal Danda for our lodging arrangements.

Day 4

Badal Danda to Sidhing, Village 5 Hour and Drive Back Pokhara 2 hours.

Destination- Siding
Altitude –      1280 m
Trekking Duration – 5 Hour
Distance – 8 km

route we took during our ascent. From Badal Danda, our path diverges towards Sidhing, guiding us through thick forests nestled at the base of Mt.Machhapuchhre. The descent becomes steeper and more arduous, with a trail that proves to be quite slippery in nature. After approximately five hours of hiking, we eventually arrive in Sidhing and proceed to embark on a jeep that will transport us back to Pokhara. Our lodging for the night awaits us at Lakeside in Pokhara.
