Details Itinerry

Day 1

Arrive in Kathmandu

After landing in Kathmandu our representative will meet you at the international terminal of the Tribhuwan International Airport. You will have your visa and customs cleared by then. We will drive you to the hotel in Thamel from the airport which takes around 30 minutes. Rest for the day there. In the evening you can head out to enjoy the nightlife of Thamel and explore some interesting shops here too. Overnight at a hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu.

Day 2

free day permit preparation

We have a preparation day today for the Upper Mustang Tour. Visit our office and meet withyour guide and driver for the tour. Together we will go through the checklist of the preparation and conduct a short orientation session. While we apply for your restricted area permit of Upper Mustang, you can go for a brief sightseeing trip to Kathmandu Valley. Some amazing UNESCO world heritage sites are there to visit included in your plan for the trip. Rest for the day after
returning to your hotel in Thamel.

Day 3

Drive  to Pokhara , 6 hour

We will pick you up after breakfast from your hotel today. Our trips to Mustang valley officiallybstart today covering the section of Kathmandu to Pokhara. The drive is scenic and you can admire the hills of Nepal properly. Your lunch stop will be in one of the hilly towns in between. In around 6 to 7 hours you will reach the beautiful Pokhara Valley. We will drive you straight to your hotel here. Rest for a while and head out to Phewa Lake for a sunset view. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara City.

Day 4

Drive To Tattopani 2520m, 6 hour

The drive from Pokhara to Tatopani is of two distinct types. Till Beni, you can enjoy a relaxed drive passing by small waterfalls and scenic hills. From Beni, you can experience an off-road adventure besides the Kali Gandaki river. From cliffs to steep sections and bumpy terrain, you will rise to enter Mustang. After reaching Tatopani, take a relaxing dip at the hot springs here. Overnight at a lodge in Tatopani.

Day 5

Drive to Kagbeni

From Tatopani, you have a day to explore the lower mustang and reach Kagbeni at the end ofthe day. The traditional villages of Dana, Lete, and Kowang will lead our way to Jomsom. You can fly to Jomsom directly from Pokhara too. That will shorten this tour by a day. You have about half an hour of scenic drive left until you’ve reached the iconic village of Kagbeni beside the Kaligandaki river. Overnight at a lodge/hotel in Kagbeni.

Day 6

Kagbeni to Ghami Village (3520 m) Via Syngboche Pass (4200 m)

We will wake up with some amazing views of Nilgiri Peaks and start the drive towards
Syangboche. Just before you arrive at the pass you can stop at the famous Chungsi Cave. A short trail will lead you to it. This cave is sacred and it is said that the Great Guru Rinpoche himself meditated here in the 8th century. From here we will have our lunch at Syangboche Village over the past and continue towards Ghami. Rest for the day after reaching Ghami. If you have enough time today you can choose to hike further towards the Dhakmar rocky cliffs too. Overnight at a teahouse in Ghami.

Day 7

Drive Ghami to Lo-manthang

We will start our drive from Ghami towards the capital of the ancient Kingdom of Lo, Lo
Manthang. Located as a fortified city it is one of the most prominent traditional towns of Upper Mustang. The views of Annapurna, Nilgiri, and Bhrikuti Peaks are sublime from the Charang La Pass. Make a brief stop in Thupten Shedrup Monastery. Ghar Gompa is another monastery you will stop at before reaching Lo Manthang. Overnight at a hotel/lodge in Lo Manthang.

Day 8

Explore Lo-Manthang, Drive to Koro la pass via Chhosar

Explore the town of Lo Manthang with its architecture, culture, and religious and historic monuments in the morning. After lunch, we will drive towards the Tibetan Border at Koro La. On the way is the famed Chhosar Caves of Upper Mustang. This cave complex has been here for centuries and still holds artifacts used by the past generation. After some time here we will continue on the drive to Koro La Pass. It is one of the oldest trade routes used by the locals and will be the northernmost point of your tour. Rest for the day after returning from Koro La.

Day 9

Konchok Ling hike and back to Lo Manthang

Today will be an adventurous day as we make our way toward the Konchock Ling Sky Caves.
You can enjoy a relaxed walk to reach the base of the cave. Konchock Link is considered one of the most significant locations in the Mustang region for its religious and archeological significance. The walls of this cave display some amazing murals from the 11th to 13th centuries. Using a rope to scale the caves is a unique experience in itself. After exploring the Kinchok Ling Caves and surrounding sites, we will hike back to Lomanthang.

Day 10

Drive to Yara via Charang and Dhee village

We will reach the remotest part of the Upper Mustang Tour by reaching Yara today. The drive is scenic and you have plenty of amazing stops during it. The first of them will be the scenic Lo La Pass at 3960 meters. The road then continues to Charang near the Sungda Chorten. Our Lunch Stop will be at Dhee. From here we will get past Surkhang and reach Yara. Explore Yara village after reaching there. A proper traditional village, Yara boasts enchanting landscapes, mysterious caves, and old monasteries dating back to the 13th century. Overnight at a teahouse in Yara.

Day 11

morning visit Ghara, Luri Gompa & Tashi Kabum and drive to  Tangge

After breakfast, We will start our exploration near Yara . Ghara Gaon, Tashi Kabun,and Luri Gompa are our primary stops. All these sites are closely related to the Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism. After completing the short hike we will return to Yara for lunch. From here we will continue on our drive to Tangge. Driving on the scenic road beside the Dhechyang Khola, we will reach Tangge in the late afternoon.

Day 12

Drive to Chhusang and visit Teteng Monastery

From Tangge we will enjoy another short session of relaxed drive to reach Chhusang. With the Kali Gandaki Valley carving a picturesque background to enjoy for visitors, we will reach Chhusang in no time. After having a refreshing break here we will head out to explore the Teteng Monastery. Explore this beautiful monastery and return to Chhusang. Overnight at a lodge/teahouse in Chhusang.

Day 13

Drive to Marpha via Muktinath

From Chussang we will drive to Kagbeni in the morning. Taking a short Retour (30 mins) from here will lead us to Muktinath Temple. It is one of the most significant temples in the region for both Hindu and Buddhist Pilgrims. After spending some time here, we will drive back to Kagbeni. The village of Marpha is another short drive from here. Marpha is the ‘Apple Capital of Nepal In this traditional village, you can try some very best local apple products including chips, wine, brandy, fruits, and more.

Day 14

Drive Back Pokhara

We will drive back to Pokhara from Marpha village starting early today. You can also fly to Pokhara Airport from Jomsom. The drive back is scenic as well and you will have a full day of off-road experience followed by a much more relaxed road here. We will drive you to the hotel after arriving at Pokhara. Rest for the day in your hotel.

Day 15

Drive Back to kathmandu
