We used Adventure Great Himalaya for two different treks during our stay in Nepal. We came in December, during COVID times. Babu was very responsive to our inquiries and helped us successfully obtain our visas during these difficult traveling times. We compared this agency with multiple others and chose to work with Babu because he offered the most complimentary gear and services (cramp-ons, sleeping bags, heavy down jackets, emergency oxygen cans, trekking poles, duffle bags etc.). We are very glad we did. Upon arrival in Kathmandu everything went smoothly and we really experienced special adventures of a lifetime.
The first trek we did was EBC 3 Passes with our guide Krishna and porter Lama. Because of COVID there were hardly any travelers so many lodges/tea houses were closed. Krishna was very proactive in securing a place for us to sleep at night. For example, from his communications he found out there were no open lodges in the village Dzongla, so he coordinated with the owner of the Green Valley lodge to come up from Pangboche village to accommodate our stay. Another time the village we planned to have lunch at was unexpectedly empty, but good thing Krishna packed Mandarin oranges and Snicker bars which he shared with us, and Lama met us half way to our next stop with warm tea. Krishna’s English is very good, and communication was always clear. He is also very knowledgeable about the terrain and peaks in the Everest Region. We were impressed that he knew the elevation of every location we asked about. Overall we are very happy with both Krishna and Lama, and their expertise.
The second trek we did was Mardi Himal with our guide-cum-porter Ram. Although his English is not as good, his positive spirit was contagious and we really enjoyed his company. He referred to me as “little sister” in Nepali, and fittingly, like a big brother, he was always watching out for me. We are so grateful for Ram!

A Big thanks to Babu and his team for organizing this trip for us. 4-day trek in the foothills around Chisapani and Nagarkot warming up pre EBC, our Guide Rakesh was great fun and the chance to see rural Nepal was a real eye opener and enjoyable. Easy access from Kathmandu and good accommodation was also a plus. EBC/ Kala Pattar via the three high passes with trip to summit Island Peak 19 days, not including days in Kathmandu / Traveling. 30 days total. A Big thanks to Santosh and Buddha we could not have had a better team. A big plus for me was that Santosh is very flexible in his approach and was constantly looking at ways to help us succeed. We had our oxygen and pulse checked daily to ensure acclimatization was on track and occasionally he managed to get us rooms with private facilities which was appreciated.
We had to bring forward the climb up Island Peak as there was bad weather moving in,a good Call. This also meant that we had to skip the Khogmala pass however the alternative high traverse to Dughla and on to Lobuche was possibly the best days trekking I have done; the views were exceptional. Another person I’d like to mention is Nigma Sherpa my high-altitude climbing guide, without him I wouldn’t have got to the top, I submitted on my own and had it to myself for a short while, which was greatly appreciated. Top bloke I would climb with him any day. All in All, a very successful trip and yes, I would use this company again, in fact I’m already looking at options.

mt Everest Three High pass Trekking in 14 days, (because of bad weather I could not do Kogmo –la pass ) Fir a 69 years old retired programmer/ businessman, it was not bad job.
Originally I planned to do it independently but thought danger and decided to get a guide cum porter from a company Adventure great Himalaya. The Owner and general manager, Babu was very helpful. Since this was my first Mt. Everest Trekking, I had so many question, among many trekking companies on the internet, he was the only one responded quickly over ten time through internet.
For the bad weather, I had to fly in sep 16, by helicopter paying, $350 per person, stayed at Phakding next to Namache, the second day and stayed one more day for acclimation & dingboche, each day, I failed to go to the summit & chukung Ri ( 5540m) for snowing, only stopped at 5,200m.
At EBC, (Everest Base camp) I met a wonderful guy plan to summit climbing from Australia preparing to start, he looked like hero with surrounding Himalayan Mountains. The mountains were amazing awe inspiring and memorizing. When I reached EBC around noon there was nobody around me, I decided to stay for long because I didn’t want leave. Peoples, however begain coming in more and more . finally I regretfully had to leave ebc around 1;30 pm. Fir all the noise of so many people.
Next morning I went to famous kalapather, standing 3:40 am it was freezing, cold (-10 degree) feared a lot of this climbing for all those scary you tube and internet stories.
It was not easy but not that scary, you will sweat while going up and freeze at the top. The down was grateful with all those Surrounding Mountains. I waited and waited around 7 am, the sun came up shining at all the snow caped mountains. I sat watching and watching for two hours thinking how my life has been trivial and making up my mind to live bigger life. The same day I went to Dzong la a grateful tea shop, village right below cho la pass .
Many people do not realize or ignore the beauty of evening, night of mt Everest area sunset and moonrise at Goraksheph, Dzong la the rising moon was the brightest and most shining among the entire moon, I have evere seen.
Gokyo and Renjo la pass( Both at 5,360m high submerging the trekking when I visited torrid dl pine, I lost my word at Britannica view point for it mesmerizing beauty But Gokyo Ri and Renjo la Pass are several times grand and beautiful. I can Say Mt. Everest 3 High pass Trekking is the number one trekking course in the world. If you do not want to regret visit these amazing mountains when a 69 years old guy can do it in 14 days, probably all of you can do it.
Finally I would like to thank Gakul at hotel Mountain gateway for his kindness when I arrived and left.

This is my second trek with Adventure Great Himalaya from 6th to 29th October 2018. The first one was in 2015. Top marks to Mr Babu and his team for reliable and professional service; the entire trip was smooth and timely, thanks to AGH’s contacts to secure flights to and from Lukla. We never have a problem with lodges despite the peak October month and our itinerary was flexible according to our fitness during the trek. Our guide Lakpa and porters Anil and Ongchu were superb throughout the trip.
The in-house Mountain Gateway Hotel in Thamel was excellent for the price, with air-conditioning and hot showers working, located slightly off the busy streets and therefore avoid traffic noise and air pollution. Breakfast was good and substantial.
AGH also provided air conditioned car with driver to trips around and outside Kathmandu at very competitive price, cheaper than paying for a taxi without air-conditioning full day.

Entire our 30 days Nepal, Abc and Everest 3 High pass Trekking, We found and feel the Adventure Great Himalaya is one of the best trekking company in Nepal. Babu Karki and Adventure Great Himalayan Treks provided us with excellent services with mountain trekking guide Krishna Bhandari taking care of business on the mountains. All events in KTM including accommodation at Mountain Gateway Hotel were handled wonderfully by Babu. All trekking handled by Krishna was exceptional, arrangements at teahouses, meals, acclimatization was we’ll prepare and Krishna’s advice was well received by our group.
We had truly best time and unforgettable experience. everything absolutely perfect organization, nothing worry, so I would like to Strongly recommend to Adventure Great Himalaya if you are looking trekking in Nepal . You will get value of your money.

Great trek, saw the Rhododendron’s in all their glory, Made it over the 3 passes and saw Everest. Abu Dablam was the most beautiful mtn. in my eyes. Our guide Krishna kept us safe and sound and adjusted well for all changes in itinerary and individual abilities. Great fun to be with. All our porters were tremendous individuals. Accommodation in Kathmandu was basic, but very good, Close to all your needs in the Thamel shopping district. Babu put together an extensive trek plan for us and we did it!! Exhausted but happy and proud. Thanks
