The viewpoint also provides astonishing sight of soaring hills, unique landscapes, and dense forests before descending Tadapani and Jhinu Danda. The last day of the trek will see us passing terrace fields and few villages, leading to Siwai.

Mardi Himal Treks

For the following day, the trail steers for Low Camp following the cliff and forests full of maples, hemlock, and oak. There are plenty of lodges and guest houses here for trekkers to spend the night.

From here, the trek works its way through Middle Camp and Badal Danda, offering a picturesque view of Gangapurna and Annapurna South. The path moving to High Camp takes anywhere from 5-6 hours of the trek along the rising hills and mountains.

The fourth day of Mardi Himal Trek makes us clamber up to 4,500 meters high, where the base camp unfolds spectacular views. Standing at the base camp, you’ll get to watch the south face of Annapurna and Machhapuchhre. On the last day of the trek, we’ll walk downhill to Siding Village which gives you the taste of authentic Nepalese culture.

Pikey Peak Trek

It wasn’t too long when the Pikey Peak trek was accepted by many trekkers visiting Nepal. At the moment, it’s one of the most trekked destinations, thanks to the breathtaking view and modest trails. The hilltop is a perfect place to watch the sunset color palettes and the afterglow of the reddish clouds.

The trek to Pikey Peak kicks off with a long drive from Kathmandu to Dhap that lasts about 10-12 hours. Out of the village, the hike commences with an easy climb above the hills to Jhapre village where you’ll sense a typical Himalayan lifestyle.

From Jhapre, the trail inclines upward over stones and rocks, heading towards the base camp. Trekkers are likely to rest the day at the campsite to adapt weather and ease up before ascending the peak.

Most of them scramble the steep slopes before dawn to watch the blazing sunrise view and towering mountains such as Dhaulagiri and Makalu. As soon as the sightseeing is over, hikers retrace their steps back to the base camp and climb the way down to Dhap before driving to Kathmandu.

Jomsom Muktinath Trek

After offering the prayers, we’ll head back to the trail, descending Muktinath. The path moves through the rugged trail passing lofty hills, deep gorges, and riverbeds to get to Muktinath. From there, our trails strive for Jomsom which takes about 6 hours walking on an uneven path.

Tamang Heritage  Treks

Tamang Heritage is another rousing 5 days trekking in Nepal. The hike is one of the finest, provided its easy walking distance and captivating views. Lying in the north of Kathmandu Valley, Tamang Heritage is more about tracking down the rich culture and tradition of people dwelling in the region.

The trail proceeding Tamang Heritage has trekkers ride 122 km highway from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The 9 hours expedition is followed by an uphill walk to Gatlang which provides a jaw-dropping view of Annapurna, Manaslu and Ganesh Himal.

As the trail moves forward, we’ll visit Golijang Valley before stopping at Gatlang, a stunning Tamang Village. The trek ahead progresses with a gentle ascent to Tatopani that lasts about 7 hours. The walk may be exhausting but worth following breathtaking vista of snow-covered mountains, beautiful valleys, and smooth terrain.

The 5-day trek also has us walking flat grounds and vast meadows while en route to Thuman. It’s another small hamlet inhabited by people admiring Tamang culture. Trekking will spend the last few days of Tamang Heritage trek by descending Timure and the early trade route to Tibet.

The trail connecting to Briddim comes with the sight of delightful terrace farm and hilltop from where you can see diverse landscapes and cascading waterfalls. After exploring the village, ancient Tibetan monasteries and forests, we’ll return back to Kathmandu through Syabrubesi.

   Hi, I’m organising a very last minute trip to Nepal (flying into Kathmandu at 9am on 27 March 2024) and want to organise a 4/5 day trek (my flight out of Kathmandu is midday on 2 April).

   Can you recommend any? I’m fit, 40 and have experience on multi day hikes.
