Day Hiking Kakani
Kakani is a beautiful hill station located just 26 km away from Kathmandu. You can observe the breathtaking views of the silver mountains, lush hills and green valleys from the viewpoint. The beautiful views of snow-capped mountains including Annapurna (8091m), Ganesh Himal (7446m), Manaslu (8165m), Mt. Langtang Lirung (7245m) and others will enchant you.
Day hiking Kakani provides you with beautiful scenery of mountain slopes covered in rhododendron trees. You will hike in a pristine environment along the forested trail. Kakani is also a great picnic spot, due to its close proximity to the capital city. This short and scenic hike takes around 6 hours to complete. Day 01: Full day Hiking from Kakani Hill to Budhanilkantha.
We will arrive at Kakani after a drive of around one and a half hours from Kathmandu. We walk through dense forests and continue our journey on smooth easy trails. You can take a rest and click photographs during the hike.
Moreover, you will observe scattered settlements of local people and their traditional lifestyle. After a short hike of around 5 to 6 hrs, we will arrive at Budhanilkantha, a sacred Hindu temple. We will then drive back to Kathmandu.
