If you prefer a customized itinerary then the package cost can change. The cost for a customized itinerary can depend on chosen services. If you want to hire private guides, upgraded accommodations, wish to join flexible routes or include extra activities then package price may increase. On the other hand, if you prefer a standard itinerary then it is more economical.
Those who want to extend their adventure can combine the Gokyo Lake Trek with the Renjo La Pass. Including Renjo La Pass is relatively more challenging but also thrilling. Likewise, if you can dedicate more time then you can opt for an Everest Base Camp trek and a Gokyo Lake trek. This itinerary lets you explore both Gokyo Valley and Everest Base Camp.

Airport hotel transfers ensure a smooth and hassle free beginning and ending of the Gokyo Lake Trek. As soon as you reach the International Airport, you will meet our team who will warmly greet you. Then, you will enjoy a comfortable transfer to your hotel.
Similarly, we also arrange transportation between the hotel and the airport during the domestic flights to and from Lukla. After completion of your trek, we take care of your transfer from the hotel to the airport for the international departure flight.
This service saves you from looking for local taxis. The transfer service will be available according to your itinerary. So, timely transportation is also ensured.

Hotel Stays in Kathmandu with BB Plan
Our 14 day Gokyo Lake trek package includes accommodation in Kathmandu. Before and after the trek, you will stay in a hotel with comfortable rooms. The rooms also have an attached bathroom and other modern amenities making your stay delightful.
Breakfast is also included each morning. So, you will have a good start to your day with a nutritious meal. The hotels are carefully selected and are known for their quality service and proximity to all major attractions of Kathmandu.

This package covers cost of two nights’ hotel accommodation in Kathmandu before and after the trek with bed and breakfast. The cost of hotel accommodation with breakfast can cost around US$ 100 to US$120 per person.
Tea House Accommodation Cost
During the Gokyo Lake Trek, the accommodation is arranged at local tea houses that are run by local families. The lodges offer comfortable twin sharing rooms with two beds, pillows, and blankets.
At high altitudes, the facilities are more basic but the hospitality that you receive here is quite exceptional and authentic. Most tea houses have common bathrooms, especially at higher sections. There are common dining halls with heating stoves. Charging services are also available, usually for a small extra fee.
You will stay for about 10 nights at the teahouses in different stops on the route and the price depends on the facilities and services. The total cost for 10 days stay can range from around US$100 to US$180 per person, with an average cost of around US$10 to US$18 or even more per night depending on the altitude, location and available facilities at each teahouse.
Meals Cost
The Gokyo Lake trek package includes three meals per day throughout the trekking period which help you to stay energetic for high altitude navigation. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served in the local teahouses.
At these teahouses, a variety of Nepali and International food is served. Some common examples include dal bhat, thukpa, chowmein, pasta, soups, eggs, pancakes, toast, momo, Tibetan Bread, sandwiches, roti, vegetable curry and porridge.
Meals are freshly prepared and served. While trekking, nutritious food is essential to maintain energy during long trekking days and also for proper altitude adaptation.
The total cost of meals ranges between US$25 and US$40 per day. However, if you choose our trekking package, all standard meals during the trek are already included in package price.
Permits Cost
The Gokyo Lake Trek package includes the cost of all the mandatory trekking permits that are required to enter the Khumbu region. Two permits are required for this trek.

We handle all permit arrangements. Valid permits are mandatory. The permits are checked at various checkpoints throughout the route.

Domestic Flight Tickets Cost
Taking the domestic flight to Lukla is one of the most exciting parts of the Everest region’s adventures. Almost all trekking journeys in Nepal, including the Everest Base Camp trek, Everest Three High Passes trek and the Gokyo Lake trek, begin with this scenic mountain flight.
Even during the luxurious Everest Base Camp Helicopter Tour, the helicopter lands at Lukla first. That’s why is is known as the gateway to Mount Everest.
The Gokyo Valley Trek package includes two way flights from Kathmandu to Lukla. These mountain flights are exciting and reward you with great views of the Himalayas.
Sometimes flights may operate from Ramechhap too, especially in peak season as Kathmandu-Lukla flights get reserved quickly and there is high traffic. So, trekkers usually drive to Ramechhap and catch a flight from there to Lukla.
The cost of domestic flight tickets ranges around US$ 450 (round trip) and is a part of the package.
Trekking Guide and Porter Support
A professional and government-certified guide will accompany you throughout your entire Gokyo Lake Trek journey.
The guide will lead the way and provide you and explain about the local culture and mountain ranges. Likewise, your guide will monitor your health regularly and also arrange help in case of emergencies. The 14 days Gokyo Trek package also includes a company T-shirt, trekking map and a fully stocked first aid box. The map is essential while trekking as it lets you identify the major landmarks. It helps you have a good understanding of the mountains and villages.
Also, a first aid kit is essential. We carry the box and our guides can treat minor injuries, blisters, and other common trekking-related ailments. The first aid kit of an estimated value of US$ 50–100 is readily available throughout the journey and the cost is covered by the package.

International Airfare and Nepal Entry Visa Fees
The international airfare is not included in the package cost. So, you may book your international flights yourself depending on your budget and preferred airlines. The airfare depends on the airlines that you have chosen.
The Nepal entry visa cost is also not included. You can pay the fees on arrival if your country is eligible or in advance before arriving in Nepal.
Visa fees can differ based on the duration of the stay in Nepal. It is advisable to check the visa requirements for your country before travel. Though the visa cost and international airfare are not included in the package, if you need any help, we are always ready to help you.

Personal Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not part of package inclusions. However, it is crucial for the Gokyo trek. This trek takes you to different high altitude areas like Dole, Machermo and Gokyo Ri which is indeed rewarding. However, trekking at these high altitude areas also comes with certain risks. So, you must arrange travel insurance before joining the adventure.
The insurance policy should cover high-altitude trekking. It should provide coverage for medical assistance, emergency helicopter rescue, trip cancellation or interruption and loss or delay of luggage.
While we can arrange the evacuation by helicopter in emergencies if needed, the cost is covered by the insurance company which you need to arrange on your own.

Lunch and Dinner in Kathmandu
The cost of your lunch and dinner during your stay in Kathmandu is not covered by the package. It should be arranged by travelers themselves. The exclusion of lunch and dinner gives you the freedom to explore the food and order according to your choice and preference.
There are various dining options in Kathmandu. In this city, you can find several traditional Nepali restaurants as well as international ones that serve Indian, Chinese, Italian, Korean, Japanese and Continental dishes.
Depending on the restaurant of your choice, the cost of your meal can vary accordingly. Our guide will also recommend some gofod places that have authentic local flavors and international cuisine. As your lunch and dinner will not be covered by the package price it is entirely your responsibility.
The cost of lunch and dinner in Kathmandu depends on the restaurant you choose. Generally, a meal at a local restaurant may cost around US$1–US$ 7 per person while dining at mid-range or international restaurants may cost approximately US$ 10–25 or more per person.
Personal Expenses
Personal expenses are not covered by the Gokyo Lake trek package. The expenses can include beverages, snacks, laundry service, bottled water, internet charges, boiled water, charging costs, souvenirs, shopping, personal hygiene products and any other activities not included in the itinerary.
We advise you to set aside enough money to cover personal expenses. These costs are personal and are not part of the package cost. Personal spending habits may differ and you can bring the amount according to your preference. For this trek, you can bring around US$ 250 to US$ 350 for personal expenses.
Tips for the Guide and Porter
Tips are not among the inclusions of Gokyo Valley trek package and are solely your personal choice. The practice of tipping has been around for a very long time in the Nepalese trekking industry. It is considered a good way to acknowledge efforts and dedication of trekking staff who make your journey secure and enjoyable.
We advise you to carry some cash for tipping. Usually, trekkers offer tip at the end of the trek. Most trekkers tip around 10% to 15% of the package cost. However, you may choose any amount you prefer to tip.
You can decide tipping amount based on your experience with trekking crew. Even though tipping is not compulsory, it is highly appreciated and is a source of extra money for the local guides and porters.
