Type of Room Accommodation on Annapurna Base Camp Trek

How difficult is Annapurna Base Camp Trek?

This classical trekking adventure in the Himalayas is considered to be one of the easiest and has a moderate difficulty level. The altitude gain isn’t that significant and the trekking route/distance are not that challenging.

What happens if I am/friend get sick while doing the trek?

If you or your friend happen to get sick during the trek, we can help you evacuate with the help of a helicopter flight, or you can descend down to lower altitudes; it will depend on the circumstances. 

Is Annapurna harder than Everest Base Camp?

No, Annapurna isn’t harder than Everest Base Camp Trek. In fact, the Annapurna trek is a moderate-scale adventure and doesn’t take you to an altitude above 5,000 meters like in the EBC trek. 

How long is hike to the Annapurna Base Camp?

You will hike an approximate distance of 110 km (68 miles) during the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. 

How about Drinking water in the trek?

You can either buy filtered water at the teahouses or buy plastic water bottles. The cost for bottles is around US$ 1 to US$ 3, depending on the altitude. 

What kinds of food can I get?

Can I cook my own food during Annapurna trek?

No, you cannot cook food on your own. The teahouses are generally busy serving the trekkers, so you working on your favorite dish in the busy kitchen is not possible.

Yes, during the high seasons, the teahouses are flooded with trekkers from all over the world, so booking in advance is important to secure accommodation during the trek.
