How to reach Everest base camp

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, a photographer, a hiker, a thrill seeker … a visit to EBC must be on your bucket list! Even if you are none of these but are in awe of this majestic mountain, your visit is still possible. And the excellent infrastructure and network of Nepal has made this dream a reality for many.

How to Reach Everest Base camp ?, There are two option  to reach Everest base camp , The one By Trekking and  another is by Helicopter Flight.

Reaching to Everest Base Camp By Trekking From Lukla

You would fly in from your city into Kathmandu. Then there is a short flight to Lukla, where you can decide if you want to take the adventurous and scenic route or just the scenic route.

For the physically fit, you would hike from Lukla to Everest Base Camp. This usually takes about 12 days, with nightly stops at a Tea House. You also get access to all resources like nutritious and delicious food, water, and bathroom throughout the trail. That is the beauty of the Nepal infrastructure!

Reaching to Everest Base camp from Lukla Itinerary

Day 1- Arrive to Nepal
Day 02: Fly to Lukla- trekking to Phakding
Day 03: Trekking to Namche Bazzar
Day 04: Acclimation day-
Day 05: Trekking to Tyangboche
Day 06: Trekking to Dingboche
Day 07: Acclimation day
Day 08: Trekking to Lobuche
Day 09: Trekking to Gorakhsheph -Hike base camp  Back to Gorakhsheph
Day 10:   Early morning climb Kalapather for Everest sunrise trek back to Phirinche
Day 11: trekking to Namche
day 12: Trekking back to Lukla
Day 13: fly back kahtmandu

Reaching Everest Base camp By Helicopter

For those who have a time crunch or may not be physically able to endure this challenge, there is an option for you too! You can take a helicopter  from Kathmandu to the Base Camp and back. With this option, you would get the opportunity to see the Majestic Himalayan Range from a bird’s eye view. The EBC  Helicopter  Journey  will be be 3-4 hours trip.
